Our story.
Hi! We’re Amanda and Nikki.
We know first-hand how isolating it can feel to navigate life after the loss of a parent. We each lost our mothers as we were entering adulthood, and while no two experiences of grief are the same, we both felt a longing for community: A place to connect with others who truly understand what it means to love and lose.
What started as an Instagram DM between old friends quickly turned into The Parentless Club: a space to connect, feel seen, supported, and a little less alone (with a little dose of levity).
Here people share their stories, connect over shared experiences, honour their parent(s) in big in small ways, support each other through the uncomfortable laughs and the ugly cries, and yes, even crack a few dark jokes. Because grief is messy, complicated and keeps on going.
And while we may be without our moms, we have each other, and that’s more than we had before.
